Tillandsia latifolia Enano is a small, viviparous form (grows an offset from the inflorescence) that is easy to grow and it sends out long roots that bely it's small size. This is because in the coastal desert of Peru where they come from, they send roots deep into the sand to anchor them. What's amazing is that as the viviparous offset grows bigger and gets heavier, it gradually leans over until the base touches the sand and then it sends out new roots. This cycle keeps repeating itself annually and it's not uncommon to see three or even four plants all connected from the bloom stem of the previous generation.
