Tillandsia Species
Status: 3

Tillandsia minutiflora is the new name for T. bryoides. It is a much sought after miniature species in the Diaphoranthema subgenus. The plant grows into a dense little clump and each plant is thin and the leaves are strict (tight to the stem) as opposed to species such as T. tricholepis or T. aizoides. The clumps we send usually have four or five plants in them. Note that the photo many more plants than that. We can't help but add that if this species really needed to have its name changed, minutifolia would have been more apropos. It probably has the tiniest leaves whereas many subgenus Diaphoranthema also have tiny flowers.
