Tillandsia Species
Status: 2

Tillandsia pedicellata is a very attractive albeit rare miniature Tillandsia (subgenus Diaphoranthema. This is a subcaulescent species that normally grows to be 2 cm tall before flowering and offsetting. The single flower is mimosa yellow and this species grows an extensive root system. The spiky leaves are symmetrical and tightly imbricate (overlapping) like tiles on a roof or scales on a reptile. We've been growing these little guys for a while and this is the first time we've ever offered them.
