Platycerium superbum (soo-PURR-bum, not SOO-purr-bum) is easily the most sought after species of staghorn and one of the least available.  As with other large growing, single specimen species, P. grande, P. holtumii & P. wandae, P. superbum does not offset and has to be grown from spores which is a lengthy process.  It will thrive in broad conditions but prefers brighter light than the average stag horn. Most of the medium and larger sizes of are usually unavailable because the demand is greater than the supply. We do have several jaw-dropping available specimens that are four to six feet wide and high.
