Tillandsia streptophylla, also called the "Shirley Temple" plant for obvious reasons, is a most interesting species because as the leaves get more dehydrated, they curl up into tighter and tighter ringlets instead of the edges of a leaf curling up toward each other. Tillandsia streptophylla grows a gorgeous, pink inflorescence that is frosted with trichomes.
