Tillandsia geminiflora is similar to Tillandsia gardneri but the soft leaves are bright green instead of fuzzy white. The inflorescence is more of a salmon color and it is large relative to the plant. I have seen these two species growing side by side in Brazil. Like Tillandsia gardneri, Tillandsia geminiflora prefers bright light but cooler, more humid temperatures than many of the others. Still, both are hardy species and easy to grow.
