Tillandsia
caput-medusae is
a stalwart in anyone's collection. One of the most aptly named of the
Tillandsia due to its resemblance to the mythical Greek goddess
with snakes for hair, it is one of the most interesting species to look
at and one of the most common. It can rot more easily than some of the
others so care should be taken not to mist it but rather run it under
the faucet or soak it in "good" water over night every several
weeks or so.
